Good price. The 8 oz bottle in the store costs the same as this 2 lb bag. Always remember with bulk supplements to put smaller amounts into a glass jar and use them from there. Keep the rest sealed in the bag to stay fresh and prevent oxidation. Then it will keep its strength.

Best Calcium Ascorbate I’ve ever Used.
Excellent product. BulkSupplements Calcium Ascorbate is high quality stuff; the best I’ve ever used. Dissolves completely. The taste is slightly bitter, which is the only way I can tell I’m not drinking a clear glass of water. I use this for my teeth and gums. Ever since I got sick in January 2015, the gums around one of my crowns becomes sore. I had the crown replaced in April 2015 (it was 28 years old), had the mercury filling underneath it removed (the last one left in my mouth), but the area around the crown still becomes swollen and sore from time to time. When it does I dissolve 1 teaspoon of Calcium Ascorbate in a half glass of water, swish a mouthful around for five minutes, then spit it out. I do this a couple of times, then I drink what’s left in the glass. Swelling goes down, no more soreness. I usually do this at night. Once is usually enough. If not, I do it again in the morning.

I can’t eat a lot of salt, so cannot use the sodium vitamin C, which is so cheap and plentiful.Without the buffering action of calcium, vitamin C soon makes hokes in my stomach lining—ouch! No fun!Taken in 10-12 ounces of cold water, there is next to no taste. I got this for my gums!
As I recall, this product has mostly ascorbic acid which is buffered with calcium. But check the information! Many of us have sub-clinical scurvy and that is why I am concerned about my gums. They seem to be receding at the very best, and I probably have gingivitis at the worst right now. So if you put some of this product on your teeth I am thinking that it is supposed to get the buffered vitamin C on the gums that can particularly need it.And then you can just leave it there a while… Maybe 10 or 15 minutes if you can hold it in your mouth that long. And then you can just swallow it and get mostly vitamin C with less calcium.Humans, unlike most animals do not make vitamin C! But never put straight ascorbic acid on your teeth or you could really ruin your enamel! I feel much safer with this buffered kind!

Has basically no taste. This is the cheapest and most bioavailable one I could find online. I use it all the time. Throw 1/2 tsp in the bottom of a cup. Throw in some water. Swirl it around for 10 seconds. Swallow and then chase it with some fresh water.

This dissolves easily in a glass of water. It is pretty much tasteless too. It’s easy on my stomach. Haven’t had any issues. I wasn’t able to seal the bag after I opened it so it’s a good idea to have a container to transfer the powder into. Delivery was quick. No complaints.
