Magnesium helps the body absorb calcium.
This is a good product. I don’t take it every day, but do take it and vitamin D to help my body absorb the calcium I get from dairy and leafy greens. There are foods high in magnesium…I believe shrimp and kiwi fruit are two of them.

Good product, but fragile capsules
This product desperately needs cotton firmly packed into the airspace above the capsules to keep them from banging around in shipment. Why? Because just like other reviewers complained, my bottles did indeed have some broken capsules which makes a mess when you are trying to pour some capsules out of the bottle. I have never seen such fragile, breakable, thin, flimsy capsules. But I chose this product because of the fact that it contains the most absorbable form of magnesium. I plan to save the loose powder left down in the bottom of the bottle and use a tiny scooper that I have, in order to measure and scoop the correct dosage & add it to a beverage so that it does not go to waste. I think we all need to call the manufacturer (their number is on the back of the bottle) and let them know that they either need to use sturdier capsules, or they need to pack the air space in each bottle very tightly with plenty of cotton to keep the capsules from banging around and breaking during shipment. That is why I gave it four stars instead of five.

Great product for great price
I’ve been using this brand of Magnesium Citrate for years. (Great for constipation! On that note, I saw a few reviews that said it only works some of the time. Hint: If I’ve eaten something different/dense or something right before bed or an abundance of food (rare), I do take an extra two capsules. I took an extra 6 capsules (total of 2 grams) after taking a pain medication that caused constipation. Think about increasing when it doesn’t work, and I’ve experimented with it a LOT. Everyone’s needs change from day to day, and I’ve gotten the hang of it. I typically take between 8 and 10 before bed – works! If I’ve barely eaten that day, I’ll only take 8.) I’ve noticed before that sometimes the capsules break open, and that was from a local store, so it happens sometimes. Seller was awesome when they read my 5 star review (that I don’t see here anymore) mentioning the broken capsules, and they sent me a replacement for free! Now that’s class! Clearly they care very much about their products and their customers.

This will be the last time I buy this. I am so frustrated when every time I go to get my pills completely open or broken pills end up in my hand. I look like I’m about to go rock climbing but it’s not chalk!
