Customers say

Customers find these compression stockings work well after surgery and appreciate their good quality and compression level. The fit receives mixed feedback, with some finding them comfortable while others report painful tightness at the foot/ankle. Comfort and durability are also mixed aspects – while some find them comfortable, others report pain during use, and while some say they last well with daily usage, others note the top elastic wears and tears easily. Value for money opinions are divided between those who consider them excellent value and those who find them a waste of money.

    Just like hospital compression socks
These are perfect post-surgery socks. I went to a specialty pharmacy and saw the price tag was over $100. I decided to give these a try and so glad I did. They were comparable to the socks the hospital gave us. Even after hand-washing they are still perfect. Size is true to form.I DID NOT enjoy putting them on my husband due to my aversion to feet and they are difficult to get past the heel. Pro-tip: cut the end of a plastic bag off and put that over the foot. Sock slides on and you can slide the bag out. It’s much easier, less comical.4 weeks post op and no blood clots. Way to go socks!

    Best recovery socks
Just what I needed after surgery. They are well built and lasted through recovery. Material is nice and doesn’t wear out. They are sung so putting on is as I expect. They are slippery so you need to have socks with the rubber footings.

Good if you are not wearing clothes over them
The compression on these were good and comfortable. What I did not love is they slide down and I kept having to pull them up. Also, if you are wearing clothes over them the lines from the tights show through. Probably best for the gym or yoga.

Slide down from thigh while wearing
I’ve worn the 18 mm thigh-high anti-embolism stockings twice. Today as I walked around, they slid from my thigh to my knee. I am 5’9, 185 lbs, measured my legs and ordered a medium. The compression and comfort are good, not so much the staying up.

    Perfect – Measure Properly
These are exactly what I needed. I ordered a couple of other types before these, but they all felt too constricting at the top. I felt they might actually do damage to my circulation. The gusset these have (like the ones put on me at the hospital after bilateral knee replacement) totally solves this issue. Even 6 months post-op, I still have swelling, so my knees and thighs are a bit large. The important thing to do is properly measure. In my case, I placed the most emphasis on my thigh measurement, as that was my issue with the other stockings I ordered. That meant a large in my case (also because of the length of my legs). The other measurements indicated a medium. (I ordered the previous stockings in large also, so the gusset truly made the difference). For reference: female, 5’10” (disproportionately long legs) & 175 lbs.At work, I stand (and walk around) for 8 hours a day. They stay up fine. Already have purchased another pair. You’re supposed to hand wash, but I don’t hand wash anything. I use delicate cycle in front load machine (Mrs. Meyers detergent) and dry on a rack. The ones from the hospital are getting a bit stretched at this point (but they are 6 months old). I expect these to hold up similarly, as they seem a bit sturdier to begin with.Highly recommended.

Not worth the price. Poor fit, snag spontaneously, roll down and dig in.
I’ve spent hundreds on compression socks and stockings over the last several months trying to keep mysterious and severe edema under control, and these were THE worst ones by far. I took them out of the package, put on my donning gloves, proceeded to put them on, and within minutes, I noticed a run from the top of the thigh to below the knee! To make matters worse, they do NOT stay up, and aren’t long enough to go over the thickest part of my thigh. The silicone dots are a joke. They ended up rolling down in the middle, to where there was a tight small roll/creases/bunched up fabric right below my knee and above my calf, tight to the point where it looked like my leg was a balloon animal, twisted at the knee, or like a chunky baby leg that looks like there are rubber bands around the joints! I have another pair of thigh highs from another brand, but they are black and closed toe. I’ve worn them a dozen times and not a run or snag anywhere. They also creep and roll down, but stop between the thigh and knee and dig into the backs of my thighs. However, those ones are long enough to go up to my butt cheeks in the back, and over my thighs completely, and they stay up as long as I am mostly inactive. I could never leave the house or run errands in either pair… without skin friendly adhesive, they’d end up at the knee or ankle for sure. I am 5′ 7.5″, 225 lbs., long, slender “chicken legs” with ankles that are skinny and weak. I am obese and carry my weight in the middle. With the edema, my leg measurements match the size chart shown for L.I don’t know why nobody can design a better fitting compression stocking. I have to have the thigh high ones, and most of them are in the $30 range. They’re always too loose at the ankle and foot even with extreme edema! Then too tight and won’t stay put from the knees up! I’m a large woman, and the max size I can find with the better known brands is XL. This brand said I needed a L instead. WRONG. They get 1 star for softness, and 1 for price ($14 – the lowest – at time of purchase). But if they don’t fit well, fall apart immediately, and likely to do more harm than good, they’re worth less than free, IMHO.

These stay put on my thighs! Long enough, tight enough and they remain in place.
These TruForm socks are long enough and stay put – over the knee to mid-thigh.After really disliking the crazy-tight, yet downward-migrating over-the-knee socksprovided by the hospital after surgery, I ordered a couple different kinds of long compression socks – and the others would roll down and ball up behind my injured knee – causing pain and I figured it was just my roundness.Nope, just the wrong product for me.I did get a run in one of the TrueForm socks the very first time I wore it, they’ve washed well and have not deteriorated since that initial 2-inch run at the top. (Perhaps a fingernail went through?)This is the reason for 4 star durability. These socks are far and away my favorite of all tried. If necessary, will order again, but so far, they are holding up great other than that small run.

We actually purchased these to put on our draft horse’s hind leg as she has swelling in her knee. Vet approved the use. Just make to measure your horse’s leg to ensure proper fit.
