A few years ago a friend had given me some magnesium supplements as a sleep aid. I found it helpful and enjoyable, but didn’t bother buying any of my own for whatever reason.This year, I had started developing frequent and seemingly random migraines/headaches. Sometimes they’d come on during the day and sometimes I would just wake up with one. Nothing seemed to help: staying hydrated, enough sleep, whatever. Ibuprofen stopped working and wouldn’t touch them, so I spent at least 3 days a week with a mild to moderate headache.Another friend has struggled with migraines her whole life, so I was asking her about what to do for mine and she mentioned “some people say magnesium oxide supplements help.” I figured what the heck, they’re cheap enough, I’ll try it fully expecting it to do nothing.No exaggeration, after the first night of taking them my headaches almost completely disappeared. This stuff has literally been a miracle cure for me. I get maybe 1-2 headaches a month now and usually there is a trigger I can identify, like not drinking enough water, drinking alcohol, or spending too much time in the sun. Aside from the help with headaches, these help me wind down and get comfortable and sleepy for bed. I take 2 gummies about 30 minutes before I want to be lights out with my eyes shut. They make me feel relaxed and cozy and rarely do I have any difficulty getting to sleep.They also happen to be delicious and I love that they are sugar free so I don’t have to stress so much if I take it after brushing my teeth for the night. I love the strawberry flavor… it’s hard to resist not eating the whole jar like candies. If you suffer from frequent headaches DEFINITELY give magnesium oxide a try.

Why only 3*
The fact we have swallow difficulty they are great. The fact that they have probably been stored in uncontrolled warehouses causes them to stick together and the sides of bottles. A table knife is needed to get them apart. We purposely have a bell that the Amazon delivery agents ring so we can get pills on the house when delivered outside our door. Some gummies do not have this problem. It would be great if all companies made chewable tablets like the calcium tablets.

These taste fine and the gumminess is normal. I unfortunately bought the wrong magnesium though.
