Very Comfortable and Thick
This mattress topper is just what we needed to make our queen-sized guest room bed even more comfortable. It’s the perfect size for the a queen bed and is about 6″ thick after it expanded overnight. It is really soft enough that it’s very comfortable, but not too soft that you’re sinking in the topper. It’s light weight so if you have to take it off or even use it as an independent cushion for someone to laydown on, it’s pretty comfortable. It is definitely not a stand alone mattress though, so i do not recommend using it as such. You still need something supportive underneath it to make it comfortable and sturdy to lay down on. Since it is pretty big, I recommend fitted sheets with deep pockets when you’re putting it on top of another mattress. That’s the only way you can fit this and the mattress under a fitted sheet. Overall, I’m very happy with how comfortable this topper is.

Thick and Squishy, Not completely sure how well it “cools”
This pad is thick, soft, and squishy. It’s very pleasant to lay on, but it also makes it hard to feel a firmer mattress underneath. I’m also not sure how good the “cooling” part works as I haven’t really noticed a difference so far. These are the reasons I’d go with a 3.5-4 star rating overall, since it’s good and somewhere above average, but not great or excellent. I think if all you’re looking for is a cushy topper and don’t mind that “sinking in” feeling, then this will definitely fit the bill.

I’ll admit, I’ve never actually seen a memory foam mattress topper that comes with a separate plush topper. I’m more of a firm mattress lover and with both toppers on my older spring mattress, it was night and day difference in comfort.Be sure to get very deep pocket sheets to accommodate the additional depth you’ll need to cover the mattress and the toppers.

My goodness! This is such a plush and soft mattress topper!If you want it softer, put the mattress topper 2 inch piece on the bottom.It is soft enough with it on the top, but there is a huge difference with the 4 inch topper just under the sheets.Both pieces are made well and are just so comfortable.it’s a great set of mattress topper pieces and you will NOT be disappointed at all.I’m so happy with them!
