A good product to warm up the neck and shoulder
I feel cold on my neck and shoulder from time to time. This is a good product for warming up. It is heavy and you need to exactly follow up the heat up time schedule. Everytime I only put it in the microwave for 45 seconds in case it burns out. Recommended !

Liked it for almost a month…
First, check the dimensions, I didn’t mentally translate 6*11 to 6″ by 11″. That’s on me. Good for small areas. I loved the millet and flaxseed as opposed to rice.Be careful about the timing! they really mean 60-90 seconds!We got it a month ago and loved it, but today we put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, and smelled burning after about two. The cover had melted and the seeds spilled out- one lump was fused together in a black mass. We’ve been using bigger “rice bags” and were used to longer heating times.I’m getting another anyway. But I expect that there’s some variation in microwaves. It might heat more evenly with a turntable (ours doesn’t have one).

Smaller than I expected and much lighter
Pros:It is super softIt is very lightly scented so no lavender to give me a headache, but it does smell a little herbalIt goes way up my neck where I have serious pain issuesIt stays warm for over 30 minCons:Too small. Would fit nicely on a small woman, but it isn’t wide enough for my shoulders, so it won’t reach all the spots I need at one time. Barely reaches the end of my collar bonesAll the stuffing, below the neck band, sinks down to the bottom. My biggest issue is pain between my shoulders where my neck meets my upper back. There is no filling/beads in that area. All of the filling sits down near the lower edgeIt’s listed as a weighted heating pad, but it is disappointingly lightweight.Not a fan of the minky stuff. It’s wonderfully soft, but is synthetic which makes heating it even slowly an iffy (read dangerous) proposition. Unfortunately none of these are made with cotton covers like they used to be. I really hope it doesn’t meltI bought this because it had good reviews, but I’m disappointed in it. It isn’t large like it says on the product description. It’s thin except in the bands where the stitching is horizontal. Those 2 bands and the neck bit are well filled, but the part that drapes the shoulders/upper back is almost empty.I heated it for the 90 seconds and it didn’t get very warm. Over the top of my t-shirt it wasn’t near warm enough. However, I put it under my shirt and that held it in place and helped the heat to penetrate. I’ve been wearing it now for 20 minutes and it is still warm.. Unfortunately, I think it will get soiled quicker having to wear it against my skin and there is very little warmth in the thinner parts of the drape where I really need it.Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again, although the longer lasting heat is nice. If you’ve had the older kind of these microwaveable heating pads. It just doesn’t live up those with their more durable fabric.

Fit is perfect across shoulders and neck. I wish it stayed warmer longer, but it’s easy to reheat! Highly recommend!

Quality and Functionality of Heat Pad
I love the size of the heating pad. It is easy to use in the microwave . However, the beads inside dissolve after continuous use which reduces the quality of the product. If you heat up the pad too much, it smells like burnt popcorn. Heat for the pad does alleviate muscle soreness.
