The difference between Washed Cotton and Normal Cotton:
Washed Cotton is a kind of fabric made of cotton cloth(our cotton cloth is 100% cotton). The surface is ironed at high temperature, making the cotton fibers not easy to come out, feel much softer. Its touch may like linen. The slight wrinkle reflects some old materials Feeling. This kind of fabric has the advantages of not being easily deformed and discolored, and free from ironing.
Normal Cotton is intertwined with warp and weft yarns through various weaving machines.

There are 4 ways to tell whether the fabric is cotton or chemical fiber:
1: Look
The cotton fabric is faintly dull against the light source or under the sun. Chemical fiber fabrics have a distinct luster in the sun or where there is a light source.
2: Touch
The cotton fabric feels natural, full and thick, and looks like the same thickness of the fabric. The cotton feels very strong and has a resistance to sliding back and forth. The chemical fiber fabric is a bit slippery, and it is smoother when it slides back and forth. The chemical fiber fabric is soft, scattered and has no bones.
3: pinch
After the cotton fabric is folded in half, it is scraped with a nail and has a clear fold line. The chemical fiber fabric is folded and scratched without wrinkles.
4: Burning
The cotton fabric is lit with a little bit of trim, like paper, it won’t curl, burns it bit by bit, no open flame, and the ash is powdery after burning. After the chemical fiber fabric is ignited, the burning fabric will curl up, and then there will be an open flame, the smell will be stinky, and the ash will be a small hard block after burning.

This duvet cover is soft and nice. The only down side is that I don’t really like that the color that I ordered is described as black gray because it is just dark gray, and not black at all. I would’ve been much happier if there was an actual black offered. The weighted blanket that I ordered to use this for does not have as many loops for the cover ties though. I am only able to use the corner ties, but since it is only a twin size it doesn’t really matter that much. The zipper being on the side makes it so much easier to put into the cover, but I wish that it had a little cover on it to hide the zipper better. Regardless, I still recommend this, it’s lightweight and I sleep so much better with my weighted blanket and this.

Love this cover! It’s truly 100% cotton so it’s breathable and soft! Great quality! The white is a true white! The only downside is that it’s a little see through but it doesn’t really bother me!

Not what I was expecting, but still good
When I ordered a weighted blanket, I didn’t think I’d need a duvet cover. After receiving said blanket, I realized it wouldn’t work with a dog that sheds a lot. I did a quick Amazon search, and landed on F.Y. Dreams. There’s a BUNCH of duvet covers out there, so it was important that I found one that fit my style and needs.I chose this particular one because it promises to become softer with age, because the particular cotton/weave allowed for that. It also has eight ties, where four is the standard. I toss and turn all night, and my dog constantly paws at my bedding to get it “fluffed” just right for her, so it was important that whatever cover I chose be durable and have enough ties that the blanket won’t turn on itself.I’m also a big fan of the color grey, because it goes with pretty much everything. However, this is more of a blue/grey, and the texture is very much in line with denim. I’ve had a denim comforter before and liked it a lot, so I don’t have any complaints about that. But if that’s not your style, I’d be weary of this product.I’ve only slept with it one night, but it seems to hold up pretty well. I washed it before putting it on the blanket, and it did seem to get a bit softer, although it will never feel like Egyptian Cotton.A bit of advice, though, from someone who has never put a duvet cover on before: When you’re lining up the ties to the loops on the blanket, make sure the tie on the zipper side is flush against the blanket. I originally had the tie on top, and I could never get the blanket to go in. I ended up having to redo it all.

For the neurodivergent people
I have adhd, so I’m very picky about my textures. I just recently bought a weighted blanket and the texture was fine, but it made me uncomfortable when it got really hot, and it felt better to have a duvet cover for protection on it if I sweat or if my animals got stuff onto it.I love rough textures like burlap or coarse microfiber sheets, so things like silk or soft blankets make me uncomfortable. Thankfully this cover is the perfect amount of rough to skin comfort. It isn’t scratchy, or coarse like sandpaper. But it isn’t super silky and annoyingly soft either. You can feel the threads in the cover which I love, they clean really easily and for those who have concerns that it will be too coarse, it does soften up when you wash it. For those who aren’t neurodivergent, don’t worry about if this cover is gonna be too rough, you probably aren’t as sensitive to that texture as I am so you most likely won’t notice a big difference like I’m describing, it’s still super comfy and a good choice.

Pink Minky!
I purchased the pink minky duvet cover for my 60″ x 80″ 20-pound weighted blanket. I’m very happy with it! The color in the photo varied from what I actually received, but this turned out to be a plus for me. The photo appears to be more of a rosey pink, but what I received was more of a bubblegum pink. I like that shade much better than the photo online anyway. This cover is super soft against my skin and oh so cozy! If you have a heavy blanket like mine, it might be somewhat challenging to put this on by yourself. I actually had to have my husband help me because it was so cumbersome. It fits perfectly, really dresses up my drab grey blanket – all the while protecting it from my dog and cat who both absolutely love to snooze on it. I love Daddy I can just take it off and pop it in the washer. This was the perfect holiday gift for my new weighted blanket, and it was a really great price! Five stars!

Rough fabric. Shrank after the very first wash.
Overall, it is not a bad duvet cover. It does what it is supposed to.However, there are a couple of disappointing things:It is not soft, although the description says it’ll get softer and softer after each wash. The fabric is VERY rough and might not work for some people.It shrank after the first washer/dryer cycle at low temperatures. When I received the cover it was a couple of inches bigger than my blanket on each side, which would work perfectly. My blanket is 80*87, and the cover was maybe 83*90 or so. After the wash, the cover got smaller than my heavy blanket. Now, it doesn’t fit as it is supposed to. I understand, that the natural cotton shrinks (that’s why it was washed and dried at low temperatures). In that case, the prewashed cover should be measured and made considering “the shrinkage”. Otherwise, it’s no longer the advertised size and can’t fit properly.Not sure if I can return it after it has been washed. At this point, it feels like it’s not worth the money spent. Pretty upsetting.

Super comfy, little heavier than the one that was replaced. First YnM but only 8 ties (corners and middle ties) not mad at all about that. Zipper is at the foot of the duvet which is soo much better than having it on a long side.

I got the dark green colour for my weighted blanket and I am obsessed with the linen look of this cover. I was not expecting it to look as luxe as it does. The colour is gorgeous and it has a huge zipper and ties throughout to keep the weighted blanket in place.
