The Good Stuff
At first I was gonna buy cheap sand but I devised to just buy the fancy stuff and I wasn’t disappointed! The beads are individually so light and small it actually tangles into the poly fill I was using for my teddy bear. The beads still haven’t tried to settle weirdly and I did not sew it fancy at all.

Good quality. Glad I switched from plastic pellets. I did not realize they would be economical.
I am so glad I switched from plastic pellets to these. They cost more, but you use far less. To weight a seated doll, only about 3 tablespoons are needed. This will last forever. I would have ordered less if I knew. These are not like sand, they are rounded and leave no visible dimples in the fabric. They are easy to insert a needle through. Very nice product.

Best choice for filling in weighted blankets!!
This was my first attempt at making a weighted blanket and I am so happy I used the glass beads. They do not make big, bulging pockets. Also because of their weight they fall to the bottom of the blanket channel very easily. For those people who worry about possible emissions from the pellets that is a non-worry with the glass beads. Since the glass weighs much more than the pellets, it takes much less to fill each pocket. You just have to make sure you sew using a lot of stitches per inch so the glass beads can not get through the stitching. I plan to make more blankets and will continue to use the glass beads not plastic pellets. They are more expensive, but you get what you pay for!

I’d buy again!
I bought these to make a weighted blanket for my son and sister-in-law and they work so well for it! No issues when washing. They will break your needle if you hit one while sewing but that’s because they’re so durable.
