Makes our hard mattress softer!
This added a plush softness to our harder mattress. I like that it comes in two parts, i.e. that the foam topper and the mattress pad are separate. It arrived highly compressed – but it only took a day for the foam to expand.It was easy to put on the bed – in fact, it was a little oversized. I appreciated that it wasn’t a super tight fit.My daughter slept on this first, and loved it right away. She said that it made the bed feel “luxurious” and soft.I actually ordered it for myself, because I often had issues with both my shoulder and hip feeling “rubbed” by the mattress. At first, I didn’t like it at all. As I have slept on it more, I have grown to like (but not love) it. I believe it has helped with my nighttime hip pain, but has not solved the shoulder issue.I notice no “cooling” effect, other than the thought that foam toppers can be inherently hot – and the pad provides a buffer to help with that.

Soft but issues
While the pad is cushy, it is a abit unwieldy. It does make our firm mattress softer, but it creates a divot you are sleeping in, so if you’re like me a roll in your sleep it’s a little tougher. The biggest problem I have is it grew once in the bed. At first it fit the mattress well but now after a couple nights sleep it hangs over the edge by8 inches. The cover doesn’t really contain the blue foam pad, it loosely held it to the matress but as it grew it slid out.
