Used for resin and worked well, non-variable temperature though
Note – I did not use these for seed germination yet. I used one for resin crafting – the other will be used for seed starting when it’s not 5000 degrees outside here in Florida.The heat level is consistent, but not variable. There are no switches or knobs to adjust the base setting. It plugs into a standard outlet. The mat itself is a smooth matte vinyl, so I did cover it with parchment paper before I used it for resin in order to avoid making a huge mess. It really helped remove the stubborn bubbles in my resin dice.There is a warning that this, like most electronics, should not be submerged or exposed to standing water for a long period of time. Make sure you are using something with drainage holes OR have your seedlings otherwise contained so the water doesn’t get on the mat.Anything that does spill wipes off quickly.This is about the size of a large desk mat and is relatively thin and non-obtrusive. The cord does not have a swivel head, so placement is important if you need things to stay level. It would be a great modification if they made these with a rotating/swivel outlet plug, but alas.The vinyl seems sturdy enough, but I do foresee it cracking down the line. Just be careful and avoid water intrusion.
