So effective, you’ll wake up with teeth chattering!
I wish I’d bought the smaller ones, because wow do these things cool you down! Too much!Don’t lie on these directly skin-to-pad because you will stick to it and get uncomfortable.Don’t stay on them too long because they’ll heat up to your body temp and be ineffective.I highly highly recommend buying two smaller ones, not one large one, not only because they’re dense and unwieldy, but so that you can switch off and allow one to cool you off while the other sits over there somewhere and dissipates its collected body heat. Also, you’ll have more control over how much of your body is chilled at once. And if you buy more than one, you can put one in your dog’s bed and help your pup cool off too. And I wonder…if I buy a small enough pad, could I maybe ALWAYS have a nice cool pillow???

    Cools you down fast
Bought 2 of them. I am laying on one right now and it is a heaven sent. Cuts those awful hot flashes down to half the time. Wish I had bought one sooner. Stays cool for 20 or 30minutes which gets me thru a night sweat episode. Once the cool is gone, i remove it and it gets cold again w in minutes of removing. I keep it folded under or next to my pillow for easy access. Best thing ever. Just the right size to get the job done w out a big inconvienance. I am glad i got the pillow size instead of the larger one.

Interesting cooling technology, but ice packs work, too.
This cooling mat (small, pillow-sized) performed as described by the manufacturer. But, cooling lasted only 1 hour. The mat is not comfortable directly on skin; I place a thin towel over the mat before laying on it. For longer cooling, one would need at least two mats to use in rotation. I used the mat in combination with a standard ice pack (wrapped in towel) to keep cool all night. Have only been using this mat for about a week, so its durability is untested. Interesting cooling technology, but ice packs work, too.

    Not that great!
It is not it is all cracked up to be. I used it for a week and it only cooled my head about five minutes.

    SO AMAZING!
First thing you should know is this sucker is HEAVY! It’s heavier and floppier than a weighted blanket. It’s like moving a dead body in the middle of the night kinda heavy (Eh….ok…I’m guessing here, really, I have zero actual experience moving corpses nor do I have any plans to. Ew. I promise, this is just a guess, but it is super heavy and impossible to move half awake! Like trying to move your kid after they fall asleep in the car kinda heavy). So do not plan (like I dumbly did) to move it around when you need it. I already had the “pillow” so I thought I could move this. NO way irl.Next thing is it does get hot after a while because it sucks the heat out of you. So if you heat up it’s better to have room so YOU can move since this is a heavy slab of flappy corpse (again, guessing, but you get the idea). But suck the heat out of you? Yes indeed. And it’s gloriously cold. The other thing is I would not leave it in the bed in the morning. It feels almost damp and I would worry about mold even with my tempurpedic mattress. SO air it all out, but that said it is 100% worth it if you have night sweats or sudden bursts of heat from medicine, medical stuff, or menopause, or are blessed like me and have all the above. So no one else has to suffer with my turning the air to arctic because I suddenly turn into lava or a furnace-like a pizza oven in Florida in August.I slept so well with this! And the heat build up for my aches and stuff is not a bother. It actually felt nice because I go from super hot to freezing.I hope it lasts and will update after a time. Hope that helps!

    It works!
It works! I brought the pad on a trip as I always sleep hot when away from my usual. It stays cold for a while and then I set it aside to recover and use it some more. I wake up frequently so it doesn’t bother me to move it around to recharge.

    Uncomfortable
This pillow is not soft or comfortable. It’s a bit stiff and cooling does not last long enough. Definitely not what’s stated in the detail. Not worth it.

    Too stiff for sleeping on
I like that this pad cools without fridge or freezer but it is extremely stiff and not comfortable sleeping with it on your pillow. I had previously bought another brand and it is more flexible and gives with your pillow, of course it’s “unavailable”. This is the second time I’ve found a cooling pad to sleep on and then it is gone before I can order another. I put one on each side of my pillow inside my pillow case to flip when they get warm. I’m still looking, again, for a replacement.

it helps but why is it so expensive? imported no doubt. For me in hot weather it’s only cool for 20 minutes but I’m small bodied and only take up half of its width so I roll to one side where it’s still cool and let the other side cool down.I don’t need to remove it from the bed or turn it over. I just shift around.once I’m asleep it doesn’t matter to do that though. So I only bought it as a last resort after trying everything to keep cool in a heatwave.AC would be great but this is simple enough for nowEdit a year later: I actually need 2.I keep it in the fridge now because weather is too hot for it to be cool enough. After half hour I would like to replace it with the other cool mat but it’s too expensive to buy another

Helps my wife with hot flash symptoms due to menopause. The mat provides a cooling sensation for a sufficient time to allow going to sleep (about 2 hours).
