In 2016, our family saw a need for well-made children’s electronic products. After 2 years in development, we launched our first idea on Kickstarter and raised 300% our funding goal!

Love This White Noise Machine!
Let me start out by saying that the instructions should clearly state that you have to HOLD IN the power button for on and off. Took me a half hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.That said, I really love the small size of the Little Hippo. Most of the noises are more irritating than relaxing, but I do love the babbling brook sound and it’s wonderful for putting me to sleep. Glad I invested in this device. It’s very portable and the individual sounds are realistic.

I really like the different sounds this has and you can change the volume. It is great it has a timer. I like how you can turn off the light or leave it on. It is compact and easy to travel with.

good option for travel
This portable sound machine has one sound we use. The sound is continuous and we don’t hear a loop like we have with other noise machines. We don’t use any of the timers and prefer to just let it run all night. The volume is adjustable and loud enough for my son’s liking. It’s small so it is easily packable for travel. It’s also nice to have a rechargeable option in case there isn’t an outlet nearby. It seems a little over-priced for what I’d expect though

Crickets can be soothing!
This is a great little white noise machine from LittleHippo.I really like the portable design, and I absolutely love the light ring for the soft glow it provides. It’s also nice that I can have that on, on its own, without having to turn on sound. It looks as soothing as it sounds.It has a well thought out button placement, which are split by function on either the left or right sides, with the left side being the light control, timer, and sound selection, and the right side being the power and volume controls. It makes it easy to change settings or turn it off while half asleep in the middle of the night.The buttons are slightly raised as well, so there’s also a tactile feel that helps.It has 19 different sounds that go beyond just white noise, and include some very calming melodies, soundscapes, and nature sounds. The basic white noise is even and soothing, but my favorites were probably the crashing ocean waves, and oddly enough, the crickets, which sound pretty convincing, and make me feel like I’m surrounded by nature.Matched with the surprisingly clear speaker, it creates such a great environment for relaxation, or sleep.There were a few sounds that I wasn’t super fond of. I’d have liked to have more ambient options, like lighter rain sounds, and a gentler babbling brook, but most were very soothing.What sets this apart from other white noise machines it that I can’t hear the loop! This is something that always turns me off from digital white noise, versus using an air purifier, or fan. I can always hear that slight skip when it repeats, which I end up focusing on, but as far as I can tell these loop seamlessly.If there’s on thing that could have improved it further is if it had Bluetooth connectivity, so it could double as a portable speaker, considering how great it sounds. It’s been useful on a couple others I’ve tried, but this one’s already a good value for what it does, and that would definitely drive the cost up.I also appreciate the fact that it’s rechargeable. My other portable sound machines require batteries, so it’s nice to having to burn through batteries, considering it’s something I use every night.I’ve been having to recharge it about every third day, so I’d say the advertised 20 hours of batter is accurate, and it does indeed charge to full in under 3 hours.The product page leans into this being more for children, but I’m an adult who can’t sleep without background noise, so picked it up to use myself, and I’m really happy with it. It definitely would be great for children as well though, with all the included lullabies.

Large Variety of Sounds
This thing may be small, but it sure packs a punch! It is so easy to throw in a bag and forget about it until you need it because it’s super lightweight and doesn’t need to be plugged in to work. The speakers are really nice for a product at this price, and there are so many sound options to choose from that I never get bored or annoyed when I need to pick one. There are quite a few buttons on the side, and they all work well (they don’t get pressed on accident and change sounds without it being very intentional). There is also one that can be used as a nice timer which I appreciate because I don’t always remember to go back and shut it off, and I’d prefer to save battery life when I can. I will say, I’ve dropped it on accident a few times and it’s still working like new, so it’s more durable than it looks. I might just get one for myself!

Great portable sound machine
I charged this sound machine fully and then used it until it died. It lasted about 35 hours at full volume making the fan noise. So only needing to charge it once every 4 or 5 days is nice.I needed a sound machine that I could take when out of the house, instead of unplugging my corded one and lugging it everywhere. I found this one and got it and am happy with it!!The price is on point with other sound machines so I would say the value is definitely here with this one.There are many different sounds that you can choose (songs, meditation, different color noises, waves, etc) but I like the white noise which helps drown out tinnitus.There is also a night light. It is adequate, but doesn’t get bright enough to use in a darkened room to avoid furniture. I didn’t get it for the light, so it is an added bonus.Overall, great sound machine for travelling!

Love this machine and the colors are an nice added touch
My toddler is obsessed with this machine. She asks for it at night despite having a sound machine built into her monitor. She loves changing the colors and sounds on this. Plus it’s nice that you can hang it practically anywhere. The white hook that attaches to the leather piece is so much easier to use than other brands. The price is also great compared to some of these expensive sound machines that have the exact same sounds!
