2 years later it’s still comfortable
I bought this almost 2 years ago to add padding to my bed, as it was too hard for me. I immediately was happy with the topper, and I slept much better. I have never had any issues, and this is still in excellent condition. I like that it protects the mattress as well. How can you go wrong buying this if it’s still comfortable 2 years later…..

Game changer
My old mattress just got a new lease on life with this awesome combo topper. I’ve used only down ones in the past and only foam ones in the past, and this is a great combination of the two that remains cool for me throughout.the night.After unpacking and letting it air out for 2 days I was ready. Since I just caught a cold, I can’t tell if there is a lot of off-gassing. The down alternative fitted too sheet feels very smooth and cool to the touch.The comfort level it brought to my body and sleep is so nice whether I am on my side, back, or stomach. It was a great investment that I have already recommended to friends.

Not as fluffy as shown, foam really didn’t smell or make us hot
First picture is misleading-it shows a fluffy 2” free standing topper on top of the foam, when in fact it’s a fitted mattress cover. Definitely not filled as high as the picture shows. The foam barely had any smell, so we just sat it out for a day. (& I’m very sensitive to smells) It did not make us hot because it’s on the bottom with the fluffy mattress cover on top. We also have a real down pillow topper which we put on top of it all, so we’re happy with the comfort.

Great topper – not too thick.
I have the hardest mattress. I forgot about it while I was using a slanted topper to deal with reflux issues. Reflux is now under control and no longer needed the slanted surface, so was excited to go back to my normal, flat bed. Ouch – hard as a rock. Everything ached. Originally was thinking, well time to just give in and buy a new mattress. Decided to give this a try, hoping to save some money. It did the trick – two nights now and nearly all my aches and pains are gone. It basically is a thinner (2inch) memory foam pad and then a mattress pad on top that has a squishy 2 inch pad. To keep it all protected, I still used a regular mattress cover over that. It stays in place perfectly, no sliding to the sides or drifting, that I can sense so far. It only added about 3 inches height to my bed (squishes down a bit with my mattress pad on top), but I can still feel my hip getting that break to sink in when sleeping on my side. Will update if anything changes, but happy (better rested) camper for now. Oh – and I took it out and was going to leave it for the 48 hours recommended to puff up and off-gas, but within 2 hours all the creases were gone and I never smelled a thing, so it was on my bed within a half day of arriving.

Dreamy and NOT HOT!!!
UPDATE 4.5 MONTHS LATER: Still in love. PERFECT amount of support and cushion, does not get hot whatsoever, and the pillowtop has been easy to wash and dry in a regular washer/dryer setup. It has held its shape really well also. Love it.—Ok, so it’s only been one night, but this thing is a dream. It is a miracle. I am still saving up to afford a new mattress, and as I need someone to deliver, haul out the old, AND it’s a Cal King, I just haven’t been able to swing all the expenses. This is the stopgap I so desperately needed. I think this will extend the life of my mattress for a while but will update my review if or when this thing goes bad. But last night was some of the best sleep I’ve had outside of a hotel room in YEARS.I used the pillowtop on top of the foam, and it did NOT get hot at all, and it is HOT where I live right now. I was very, very worried about this because I’m a hot sleeper. Like, fans on, kick the blankets off, night sweats hot sleeper. I did buy a “cooling technology” sheet set, so that may have helped, but honestly they felt like any other sheets. Trust me when I say if you use the pillowtop it isn’t a heat sink. I do think if you use just the foam that that will get hot, though.It was very easy to unroll and position on my bed. The foam dimensions aren’t exact, but it’s close enough and it made zero difference anyway. The pillowtop easily extended over the corners and stayed on perfectly. I did not notice any smell at all. Do be aware that while you let this reconstitute for the 2 days it says to, if you have entitled cats, they might find the foam REALLY appealing to sharpen claws on (ask me how I know…), so I’d advise you try to keep them out of the space until you’ve fully made your bed. Just sayin’.

Comfortable, but it traps heat. Probably okay for those who don’t “sleep hot”.
This is a very comfortable mattress pad when layered as recommended: foam on bottom, cover on top. On the negative side, for me, it does not seem “cooling”. I sleep hot, so it feels like it traps heat. I think the cover may be to blame so maybe I need to try it with just the foam by itself. On cooler nights, it is not as much of a problem. It feels comfortable for back and stomach sleep positions, but not for side-sleeping. I prefer side-sleeping, but this product is causing me hip pain. The foam is too rigid for me, but maybe it has to do with one’s bodyweight. It might work better for a heavier person. As stated above, I need to test it without the cover to see if that will help with the heat. I am reluctant to do this because the cover is nice and I do believe it adds to the cushioning. It is also very well-made.

Extremely comfortable
I have a mattress that is very firm and for years it was fine. But as I have aged, many of my joints ache, and I needed a little cushioning on the mattress. I opted to try this product first before buying another mattress and I am glad I did.It is so comfortable, not too soft and it still offered support. I didn’t have a smell (I did let it air out for 24 hrs before I put it on the bed). The mattress pad that comes with it can be washed and it prevents one from getting too hot from the foam pad. The queen size fit the bed perfectly, no trimming necessary. It’s been a month since I bought it and am very happy with its performance. I recommend it.

I bought this hoping it would make my older spring mattress feel a little softer. I’m 40 and have a bad back due to poor life choices lol. This 100% added instant comfort and a wonderful plushiness to my bed.I’m kinda fat, and find that my hips and shoulers were getting pretty sore pretty quick – but not anymore. This topper has absolutely done away with that. ((I searched comments with body type references on other options, so, hear me when I say this is a fatty approved product lol )I do find it to be a bit on the warmer side, however, and notice that I’m waking up quite warm and sweaty. I’m not sure if this is related to the down alternative topper or if my old butt is starting menopause lol. I really hope it’s the product ( but pretty sure it’s me, so don’t let this frighten you away from purchasing this.)I’m giving it 5 stars because even IF it’s whats causing me to overheat, it’s still cozy AF and my partner noticed it immediately and was asleep in 2 mins. So uh… thanks, Amazon, it definitely encourages sleeping…. lolLOL just buy it, yall. It’s a great topper.(Keep the 4″ in mind when buying sheets, though, my fave sheets no longer fit)

I would give it 4 1/2 stars because of one minor fault. It’s very saggy when you sit on the side of the bed. It only took a couple weeks to get used the memory foam. I now sleep well and no back pain. It is slightly warmer but that doesn’t bother me.
