Feel soft with a comfortable medium compression
These were surprisingly soft and the compression was just right. They seemed to keep my feet and legs cool unlike the mostly synthethic blend of other socks. They are just the right enough thickness so they look like they will hold up well.I ordered two pairs but had to return one of them because the yarn was discolored in different areas of the sock. It could have been just a problem with the yarn color consistancy or it could have been dirt. I didn’t fuss with the discolored ones and returned them but I kept the pair that didn’t have that discoloration.I would recommend these for traveling. They might also be appropriate for hiking.

Dr. Shams Merino Wool Compression Knee High Socks would be perfect, but too long for petite me
I like the quality of these socks so much! The merino wool is soft and comfy, the compression is just right for me and holds up after many machine washes/line drying. GREAT, sturdy product, but they are just too long from the ankle to the knee for my short legs. I am about 12″ from ankle to base of knee. I wish they made different lengths as I’d have 8 pairs. Such a great deal at this price of $9.99. I ended up paying over $22 on sale for another brand, but I like these the best. I bought size small/medium. If your legs are longer than mine (maybe 3″ longer?) this is the best sock around!

    Great fit! Super Comfortable!
I have had these socks for a couple months now and they are probably my favorite pair of compression socks ever. I work in a restaurant, so I’m on my feet 5 or 6 hours every workday. I started wearing compression socks a couple years ago to help alleviate some leg and foot pain I was experiencing, especially now that I’m over 50. I have tried several different brands of compression socks and different strengths too and really love the fit and comfort of these most. The merino wool is so soft, the compression is perfectly firm without being too tight. I especially love that the top band doesn’t grip too tightly, which on some others feels constricting. I worried that the wool would get hot, but it’s now June and these were super comfy today when I wore them.I have bought a couple more pairs in different colors and recommended them to my co-workers too!

Warm, lightweight, but don’t stay up
Pros:Warm without bulk – smooth and relatively thinWarm and wicking – not sweat-producingComfortable on putting on – low-profile toe seam and nice level of compressionWide calf bandVery good price-point for nice materialCons (with normal walking, in shoes):Needed frequent adjustmentWouldn’t stay up over timeWorked themselves forward and bunched under toes inside shoes (inconvenient)Worked themselves down into constricting bands around lower legs (defeats purpose and must be adjusted right away)Adjustment fixes this, but again isn’t convenient

Great for travel and colder weather, and a bargain!
I purchased these for a February trip to Paris where I would be walking outdoors in chilly weather for many hours at a time. These are GREAT SOCKS! Not the highest compression, but enough to be effective without being uncomfortable. The wool makes them warmer than my other compression socks and my feet did not sweat in my boots. You cannot beat the price. The black are sized smaller than the cream color ones, which I also purchased. It was not a big deal for me, since the compression was not for medical purposes, but more for comfort. I love the cream ones too. I bought 3 of each color. A great Amazon find! Highly recommend!

    Comfortable socks, but poor durability.
I’ve had them six months and wear them when it’s cool outside…not much in Florida. They developed holes much sooner than other brands I own. They are cozy and comfortable but I can’t afford to replace them so often.

These are great socks! Strong support!
These socks look exactly as they do in the picture. I found them to be very supportive, I’ve worn and washed them several times and they still have their original elasticity and look brand new! The wool content does not make them scratchy but does help them feel much less hot and much more comfortable than synthetic socks I own while also feeling softer and with stronger (tighter) support. I highly recommend if you’re on your feet a lot or experiencing lower leg/ankle swelling. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and I’m not receiving any incentive for this review.

  8. Kindle Customer Disappointed in Colorado

    Must have changed suppliers
I originally ordered these socks in late summer and early fall, The material used was nice and thick and the size was perfect. I tried to order more of these a few weeks later and the material they were made of, and the size changed. The material is now much lighter, and the socks are at least 2 inches shorter. They no longer cover my calves.
