Perfect – not too hot, not too cold
Got these for some underweight feral kittens we took inside that had never been exposed to A/C, so their little ears were cold all the time and they didn’t have any body fat to help keep them warm. The cover is soft and cozy (although it could probably benefit from another blanket on top, because the plastic of the heating pad inside makes is a bit stiff), you don’t have to worry about it turning off or overheating, and the kittens have the option of getting on it if they are cold. (My vet says to make sure they have the option of going someplace else if they get too warm, so we have it half on the kitty bed and half off.) It has one setting so you don’t have to worry about gauging what to put it at, and it’s low enough that I could leave my hand on it without being too warm but warm enough that I could definitely feel the difference.This has been a lifesaver. No need to worry about kittens getting hypothermia while they’re healing.

A must for newborn animals!
This was a lifesaver when a mama cat left 2 newborn kittens in my flower barrel. Since you can set the timer for 24 hours, and adjust the heat, we were able to keep the newborns warm without getting up every hour with a regular heating pad. The cover is super soft, velvety like fabric.

Stiff Pad but Cat Likes it!
Bought the Medium to completely cover the bottom of a cat cave I made (an upside down styro cooler with a hole cut out) for a kitty who likes to sleep in my unheated garage. Seems much toastier than before (i.e., I would put my hand in the box to pet her and the air was cold inside, even though I insulated the box well). This pad makes a world of difference. Kind of wish there was a temperature control since the temps go up and down alot in Utah and when it’s a warmer day/night it might be too hot for her inside. I didn’t think about the larger size mat producing more heat and now wonder if I should have gotten the small size. But for the price, it’s really sturdy and the cover is soft but I put a fleece cover on it anyway. The cord is fairly long (I’d guess 3-4 feet which is good) so factor that in when you are getting an extension cord.

Best Newborn Puppy Heating Pad I’ve Found.
This pad has held up well even after using continuously for several weeks and with multiple litters.I love that it’s continually “on,” so I don’t have to monitor a timer to re-set it again. (With newborn puppies, this is invaluable peace of mind to know they won’t get chilled in the middle of the night.)The cord is pretty well protected, but I wish the coating was a little tougher or thicker. You definitely need to take it away from the puppies as soon as they can maintain their body temp on their own. They WILL chew it and even tiny, toy-sized puppies can get it down to the wire before you know it!Note, it is not as warm as other puppy heating pads I’ve tried. So at first I was worried the puppies would be chilled. It turns out, they were just fine!I’d also like to be able to order additional covers for the pad. That would let me switch it out and still keep the puppies warm while the original (dirty) pad is in the washer.Speaking of the washer… the covers have not held up as well as I’d have liked. I wash them separately and even still, the zipper on 1 out of 3 pads broke after only a few washings. (Another reason it would be nice to be able to order more covers!).Overall, this is the best value for the money I have found and I am satisfied with my purchase. I have since ordered 2 more of these pads.

Just What I Needed…..
I take care of a semi-feral cat that lives outdoors, since 2019. I had a wonderful person donate an insulated cat house to me, but I want him to stay warm.I purchased this warming pad because of the good quality features like warmth only when kitty is laying on it, the flexible covered cord, soft washable cover, the size and price. Kitty is in his house every night and when it’s particularly cold. This fit my budget and needs….a great purchase!

Inconsistent temperature
I ordered this to use as a safe heat source for my chick brooder. I liked that it offers 5 levels of heat and a timer that goes from 8 to 24 hours. However, even at the highest heat setting it will vary between 66° to 90°. If you’ve ever raised baby chicks you know that in the first few weeks that temp needs to stay at a constant 90°, then go down by 5° each week after that until they can handle ambient temp (usually after they are fully feathered). I’ve already lost 1 sweet baby due to the wild temp fluctuations. I’ve ordered a brooder heat plate that should be delivered tomorrow. I wish I had ordered it to begin with. Maybe I wouldn’t have lost a chick. Heat LAMPS are really dangerous and I refuse to have that fire risk. And I guess even heat pads specifically made to use for baby chicks, bunnies, etc are unreliable.Spend the extra money and get a heating plate. It could mean the difference of your chicks surviving or not.

Awesome, cat loves it!!!!
Got this for local outdoor stray cat for 25 degree weather. He absolutely LOVES it. He sleeps on it every night. We put it on an extension cord (it says you should not but we had too) and it has worked safely for 20 days. We have it under a carport out of the rain on outdoor furniture chair with chair pad cushion under it and a thin soft fleece blanket over it. If blanket is layered too thick the heat won’t get through well, so thin layer blanket is best. We have kept the heater on for 48 hours several times unattended and it has been safe and worked properly. We put a ring camera to monitor it just in case and saw that the cat stays on it ALL night he loves it. We set it on heat level L3 and that seems good enough. One night we did L4 and he moved around a bit so maybe that was too hot. So L3 for us. The timer function is a fantastic option so we can know it turns itself off after the set time.

I have purchased two of them. I specifically purchased it for my 16 year old four paws baby. Heat is very good for cats. Our three cats fall in love as soon as it warmed up. I leave it plugged in 24/7 so that my older cat has warm bed. I wish that I had purchased it years ago.

My cat loves it, its very good stays on 24/7 if you want it off youll have to unplug it. Its not super hot but it dose get very warm for the pet and even for a human the longer its on the body the warmer it feels right.
