Contain 3mg Melatonin…Easy to Swallow
I wanted to try this sleep supplement because I have acid reflux and the doctor recommend taking some melatonin to help relief stress. This supplement has 3mg of Melatonin which is not too much because I don’t want to rely heavily on this to fall asleep. It Works for Me!
The dose is one capsule containing 120mg of magnesium, 3mg of melatonin and 200 mg L-theanine. The melatonin strength is low but this sleep aid is usually enough on most nights to help me sleep through the night. Even the first time I took it I slept well and didn’t wake up until morning. However, because it is in a capsule it didn’t work as well on a few nights when I took it right before bedtime. My body processed it later, so I had trouble getting to sleep but slept well after a few hours. This has happened to me before when taking sleep aids in capsules. I found that I need to take capsules at least a half hour before I plan to sleep. If I forget and feel a need for a sleep aid, I open the capsule and add the powder inside to a half glass of water for faster absorption.One thing I have trouble with is reading some of the tiny type, especially the ingredient and recommended dose type on the bottle, which I can’t read even with glasses unless I also use a magnifying glass. This is a common issue since my vision declined and I wish supplement manufacturers would consider making type more readable for those of us who are vision challenged.The listing says this product is vegan, non-GMO and produced in a GMP certified facility with 3rd part testing, which are things I look for in new supplement products. So far I have been pleased with the effectiveness when taken at an appropriate time before sleeping and I have had no negative side effects.
