Being the owner of 8 different sound machines this one is the best . All my sound machines make pretty the same sounds, thunder, waves, rain etc. The difference is this one has a slider for each sound so you can choose one or all the sounds at what ever volume on each. The only down side it has a built in battery that last about 15 hours before needing a recharge.

Almost perfect for nursery sound machine
Had this for over 30 days for our nursery sound machine. The volume control is great, we love that you can play multiple sound layers that mesh well together. This only toggles and customizes via the tuner switches, which is perfect since we did NOT want a Bluetooth connection. It’s small and compact so it was a decent portable for its value. I would say the only reason it is not 5/5 is because if it is not plugged in and the battery is dying, it will scream “PLEASE CHARGE BATTERY” louder than the audio being played. AND the dial knobs can be easily plucked off by a toddler and can cause a choking hazard.

Truly a horrible product. Not worth the price.
Similar to other reviews, I found a few things troubling about this device. One is that it has unnecessary LED charging lights that are bright in a dark bedroom and cannot be turned off. Poor design. The sound mixing is cool to be able to hear ocean and birds or a bonfire and a lullabye or whatever your impish little mind desires but those sounds are not the type to drown out others sounds – they are just background noise. The white noise button is effective at blocking sound and gets quite loud. Within a few weeks of use the speaker began cracking at that high volume.Also, if the device becomes unplugged and runs out of battery (which only lasts 8 hours, confirmed by seller) this device SHOUTS AT YOU in a woman’s voice and honestly it’s a horrendous way to wake up. Thank you for the return policy!UPDATE: Received a terrible response from the seller confirming that this product has a terrible design too. They say that you can turn off the breathing light. Sure. But you cannot turn off the totally unnecessary RED and GREEN charging LEDs on the device – ugly xmas light pollution in the bedroom. HORRENDOUS DESIGN.. Truly a horrible product. Not worth the price.

The Qxiaozhan Sound Machine 2000mAh Rechargeable White Noise Sound Machine with 30 Soothing Sounds, 5 Timers, 16 Volume Levels, Noise Canceling Machine Sleep Aid for Baby Kids Adults/Home/Office/Travel is rechargeable via USB-C cable, which is very handy for traveling. It also has a breathing light, which adds to its functionality for traveling – you have a nightlight and a sound machine in one. It has a timer function, but also an always-on possibility, which I prefer because some sound machines that are rechargeable do not stay on all night. There are three sound options, two pre-set series of sounds and the sound mixer. The sound mixer is a really unique feature and something that makes this one of my favorite sound machines so far (and I’ve tried quite a few). There are 10 sliding levers that correspond to different sounds. You can slide each lever to layer the sounds as you desire, having them all on, or choosing to leave certain ones off. How high you slide the lever also corresponds with how loud the sound will be, allowing so much customization. You can create a truly unique sound. It is extremely easy to use, and my four-year-old uses it with no issues. The large unit volume and power knob on the side is slightly sensitive, and the unit makes a slightly unpleasant noise when you first turn it on if you don’t keep the volume super low at first, but these are minor issues, and the uniqueness of the sound machine truly makes up for it. My son doesn’t like animal sounds, so I had to put tape over the bird and cricket sliders, but that is his personal preference. Personally, I’d love to see birds used way less in sound machines because, while I think birds have pretty songs, I do not find their sounds relaxing, but that might just be me. In any event, even with those two out of play, the other 8 can be combined in a ton of different ways for many unique sounds. Also, despite all the levers and things, the sound machine is still a small enough size to pack for traveling and does not take up a lot of space on the bedside table. Overall, I think this is a great sound machine and a really unique one. It seems a bit pricy, but given the sound mixer capability, I think it is well worth it.

This is an awesome and unique sound machine for sleep. It is the most advanced version I have seen. I’ve tried others, and they are OK. But this one takes my sleep to a whole other level. It has a variety of sounds that I can mix like a DJ. My favorites are the waves and birds, and well as the traditional white & brown background noises. It makes drifting off to La La Land a super soothing and effortless experience. I especially like that the sounds are high-quality and not tinny like some others I have tested. The nightlight is helpful if I need to find my way in the dark. I usually just turn it off since I like to sleep in complete darkness, but it would be useful in a hotel room where I not familiar with the layout.The portable machine is also amazing to take while I’m traveling. It disguises the ambient noise in a hotel room or family guest room. I could also see this being great to have on in the background while I’m working and I need to focus and drown out sounds around me. The compact size doesn’t take up too much space in my suitcase. It will definitely become a staple in my upcoming summer trips. If you have a hard time falling and staying asleep, or are sleeping in a noisy space, this machine is a lifesaver!The machine is well-made and looks cool. It has a high-quality feel to it. I like that I can charge it and use it wirelessly if I don’t have a place to plug it in. I think that children and adults alike will thoroughly enjoy using this machine, and it will help you get a better night’s sleep.
